Refunds and cancellation
Qgress is software billed in advance, with a free plan you can fall back to. This page says what happens to money already paid when you stop.
Last updated 26 September 2026
In one line. Cancel whenever you like and keep the plan until the period you paid for ends. Monthly payments are not refunded part way through a month. An annual plan can be refunded in full within 7 days. Anything we charged in error comes back in full, always.
Cancelling
Cancel from the console, under Settings, then Billing. It takes effect at once and no further payment is taken. You do not need to email us or give a reason.
Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that the account moves to the free plan. Your branches, queues and history stay where they are; the features above the free plan simply stop.
Monthly plans
A month is charged in advance and is not refunded part way through. If you cancel on the 20th, you keep the paid plan until the month ends and you are not billed again.
Annual plans
An annual plan is two months cheaper than paying monthly, in exchange for the commitment.
If you change your mind, write to us within 7 days of the payment and we will refund it in full and move the account to the free plan. After 7 days an annual period is not refundable, in whole or in part. You can still cancel, and the plan then runs to the end of the year you paid for.
What is always refunded
- A duplicate charge. If the same period was paid for twice, the extra payment comes back in full.
- A charge after cancellation. If cancellation did not stop a renewal, that renewal comes back in full.
- A charge for the wrong amount or wrong plan. We refund the difference, or the whole payment and start again, whichever you prefer.
- An outage on our side that made the service unusable for a long stretch. Tell us what happened and when, and we will credit or refund the affected part of the period.
What is not refunded
- The unused part of a month or year, where you simply stopped using the service.
- A period during which the account was suspended because our terms of service were broken.
- Taxes already paid over to the government, where the law does not allow us to reclaim them.
How to ask for a refund
Email [email protected] from the address that owns the account, with the invoice number and what went wrong. Anything on this page under "always refunded" needs no argument, just the invoice number.
How long it takes
We decide within 3 working days and tell you either way. An approved refund is initiated the same day it is approved.
The money goes back by the route it came, through Razorpay, and reaches your card, account or UPI app in 5 to 7 working days. That last step is the bank's, not ours; we can give you the refund reference to chase it with.
Failed payments
A failed payment is not a charge. If your bank shows a pending amount against a payment that did not go through, it is released automatically, usually within 5 to 7 working days.
While a payment is outstanding the account is marked past due and paid features pause. Settling the invoice from the console restores them immediately.
The free plan
The free plan costs nothing and there is nothing to cancel. Stop using it and the account sits quietly. Ask us and we will close it and delete the data.
Disputes
Please write to us before raising a dispute with your bank. A chargeback freezes the money for weeks and we can almost always settle it in a day.
